A strong signal is when large content estates become redundant, duplicated or difficult to navigate. Informed by the insights gained from Discovery, the team developed an Information Architecture (IA) and supporting navigational structure that makes it easy for Energy Innovators to find relevant information and tools they need to achieve their goals. We partnered with AER to help them better understand the problem to be solved, then name, brand, design and deliver a website that would meet the needs of Energy Innovators. Annex's published work suggests diagnosing the underlying service, content, experience and technology constraints before locking into a solution. That is when information architecture & content design becomes useful: when the organisation needs to understand the real problem, not merely commission another feature.
